Sedation Dentistry - Free Consultation

SPECIAL OFFER!

Sedation dentistry has changed several patients’ views of the dentist and has allowed them to address their dental needs without fear or discomfort. Whether you have dental fears or have a procedure you’d like to go through completely relaxed, sedation dentistry can help! We offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas), oral sedation and IV sedation. Dr. Rosen performed her General Practice Residency in Hospital Dentistry at UCLA, with 50% of her work involving advanced sedation techniques. Give us a call to schedule a Free Consultation with Dr. Rosen today!

How Does Nitrous Oxide Work?

Commonly referred to as laughing gas, nitrous oxide is administered through a face mask. Working within minutes, the nitrous oxide will have you feeling completely relaxed and at ease. Nitrous oxide is safe for adults as well as children. This form of sedation wears off minutes after you remove the mask, allowing you to resume your daily activities as soon as your appointment is over.

How Does Oral Sedation Work?

Oral sedation is in pill form and takes effect almost immediately. Helping you feel calm and relaxed, oral sedation allows you to respond to Dr. Rosen or our staff if necessary, but not be bothered by surrounding sounds and smells. The oral sedation is stronger than nitrous oxide and the effects can take several hours to wear off, requiring you to bring along a driver to take you home. Oral sedation is a great option for those who would like stronger sedation but do not want an IV.

How Does IV Sedation Work?

IV sedation is our strongest form of sedation and, like the other forms of sedation, starts to take effect right away. IV sedation gives Dr. Rosen the ability to increase or decrease the level of sedation throughout your appointment. Unlike oral sedation, the effects of the IV sedation start to wear off as soon as your appointment is over.
